چکیده
Abstract Polyamide composite reverse osmosis (RO) membranes occupy an important position in water treatment. However, membrane fouling, especially biofouling, can lead to a significant decrease permeability. Therefore, reducing biological contamination is and property of RO membrane. In this article, hypothesis on the development new kind for antibacterial purposes was prepared by modification gallic acid (GA) silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). Then, experiments were carried out verify hypothesis, getting modified with GA@AgNPs. The flux GA@AgNPs 31.1 L·m −2 ·h −1 , which 46.7% higher than that original membrane, while rejection rate salt remained at 93.8–97.6%. Moreover, exhibited outstanding properties more 99.9% efficiency against both Escherichia coli Staphylococcus aureus . Our work provides idea solving problem biofouling membranes.

متن کاملSilver confined within zeolite EMT nanoparticles: preparation and antibacterial properties.
The preparation of pure zeolite nanocrystals (EMT-type framework) and their silver ion-exchanged (Ag(+)-EMT) and reduced silver (Ag(0)-EMT) forms is reported. The template-free zeolite nanocrystals are stabilized in water suspensions and used directly for silver ion-exchange and subsequent chemical reduction under microwave irradiation. The high porosity, low Si/Al ratio, high concentration of ...

متن کاملSilver nanoparticles in resin luting cements: Antibacterial and physiochemical properties
BACKGROUND Silver has a long history of use in medicine as an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory agent. Silver nanoparticles (NAg) offer the possibility to control the formation oral biofilms through the use of nanoparticles with biocidal, anti-adhesive, and delivery abilities. This study aims to evaluate the antibacterial effect of resin luting cements with and without NAg, and their influenc...
متن کاملRejection mechanisms for contaminants in polymeric reverse osmosis membranes
Despite the success of reverse osmosis (RO) for water purification, the molecular-level physicochemical processes of contaminant rejection are not well understood. Here we carry out non-equilibrium molecular dynamics (NEMD) simulations on a model RO membrane to understand the mechanisms of transport and rejection of both ionic and inorganic contaminants in water. While it is commonly presumed t...
